Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Lyman Prouty, who passed peacefully in his sleep after bravely facing illness over the past six months. Born at home in Montgomery County, Bob spent most of his life in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, where he and his beloved wife, Paula, built a lifetime of love and memories over 62 wonderful years together.

Bob met Paula through mutual lifelong friends—what was meant to be just one double date turned into a love story for the ages. They married on February 16, 1963, and together created a beautiful family filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Bob had a passion for camping, beginning with an Apache pop-up camper, later upgrading to a trailer, and finally embracing the RV life he cherished. He found joy in taking his family on countless weekend getaways to Promised Land State Park, where he passed down his love for fishing, campfires, and the great outdoors. These trips were his escape from the everyday stresses of life, and he ensured his children experienced the wonders of travel. Whether it was a road trip to Walt Disney World during the gas rationing of 1978, scenic drives through Pennsylvania, cross-country adventures to New Mexico, or visits to Connecticut, Ohio, Virginia, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Bob made every journey an unforgettable experience.

One of Bob's greatest traits was his patience—both in his actions and his words. A true handyman, he could fix almost anything, always believing there was a spare part somewhere before ever considering buying a new one. His resourcefulness and determination were qualities admired by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Paula; his loving children, Susan and Ken Rinko, Carrie Prouty, Bobby Prouty and Chris Stout, and Kim and Chris Rotondi. He was a cherished grandfather to Ricardo, Daniel, Natalya, Desire, and Janae, and a proud great-grandfather to Naseem and Naomi. He was a beloved brother-in-law to Lynn and Dave Moyer, a treasured uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, and a loyal friend to many lifelong neighbors and former co-workers. Bob was always willing to lend a helping hand, embodying kindness and generosity throughout his life.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, February 3rd, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM, after which Bob will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park.

Bob's legacy of love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to family and friends will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
