Rose Sacca DeAngelo
Of Feasterville, Rose was with her loving family when she passed peacefully on October 7, 2014. She was 97.
Born in Philadelphia on June 23, 1917 into a family that would grow to include 8 girls and 2 boys, the family lived in Hammonton, NJ for a while which is where she first met her husband-to-be. A seamstress, Rose married Arthur DeAngelo in 1942. They raised their family in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia before retiring to Bucks County. Rose provided a loving home for her family and her 4 sons were her greatest accomplishment in life. She will be remembered as a good hearted woman who was loved by all who knew her. She was a fantastic cook and was well known for her meatballs. Her biscotti and pizzelles were the best.
Preceded in death by her husband, her youngest son Michael, her brothers Paul and Frank, sisters Anna, Mary, Jennie, Francie, Josie and Violet, she leaves to cherish her memory, sons Art (Leslie), Frank (Valerie) and Anthony (Karen) and grandchildren Jason (Sherri), Christine, Michael, Steven and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister Florence Auerbach, 3 great-grandchildren, Marissa, Jason and Chase. Many nieces and nephews and 3 step-grandchildren, Colleen Sitzler, Kelly (Bill) McClure and Robert (Amy) Sitzler, 5 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great, great grandson.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd, Ste 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422. A celebration of her life will be held at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd, Feasterville, PA 19053 on Tuesday, Oct 14th at 10 am, with a memorial service at 11 am.
