Roy G. Bowman of Levittown, PA, passed away at his home on March 24, 2017. He was 77 years old. Roy ( "Jerry" ) was born in Johnstown,PA. He lived in Pennsylvania and Florida before joining the armed forces, where he served in the United States Navy. Roy settled back into civilian life working as an industrial mechanic, and raised a family in Levittown. He valued privacy, loved working on classic cars, hunting in Potter County, PA, and enjoyed tinkering on various projects. Roy is survived by his sister, Joan, and children (by marriage to Kathleen) Sandra ( Benjamin ), Roy Anthony, and Laura; granddaughter Lilly May; and several nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his constant faithful companion, Fritz, the dog. Services will be held privately, with military honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Wet Nose Rescue of Southampton, PA., in honor of Fritz.
