Ruth was the daughter of the late Ruth Knox (Ryan) and Thomas R. Knox (Pvt 133 INF 34 Div., Pennsylvania, July 16, 1944). After a long battle with multiple health conditions, she died peacefully surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband Charles J. Daukas; daughters Sherri Beale (John) and Pamela Chick (David); grandchildren Jackson and Noah Chick; twin brother William Knox (Angela); nieces Stephanie Mahoney (Dickie), Christina Hanks (Chuck) and Natalie Knox; Aunt Margaret (Peggy) Knox and many beloved cousins, extended family and friends.

Ruth worked at Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company for more than 25 years. She gave sacrificially to her family and friends and will continue to help and intercede for all those she continues to love from Heaven's gates.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's name can be made to the Semper Fi Fund to assist injured and critically wounded service members, veterans, and military families across all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces or St. Jude Research Hospital for Children.
