Our beautiful mother, Ruth J. Willson of Warrington passed away peacefully on February 19th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 91.

Ruth was born to the late Lonnie and Minerva Lynch in Ocean View, Delaware.  She lived on a farm until age 6, before moving to Philadelphia.  Soon after graduating from Kensington High School she met the love of her life, Bill, at a dance.  They were married in 1954.  Bill was drafted into the Army in 1956 and was stationed in California.  Ruth moved to Monterey, California to be close to her husband.  In 1958, after their service to our country, Ruth and Bill drove back to Philadelphia with their daughter, Deborah, and their dog, Scamp.  Ruth was a homemaker for much of her life, raising four children.  When her children were grown, she worked at Sears and Burlington Coat Factory.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband William Walter Willson, her sons Brian and Robert, her twin sister Grace who died when she was a baby, and her siblings Blanche Schweitzer and Robert Lynch.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Cataldi (James) and William Willson, Jr. (late Barbara), her grandsons, Brian Willson (Rikki), James Cataldi, Derek Cataldi, William Willson III (Miranda) and Randy Willson, and great-grandson William Willson IV (Liam).

An avid Phillies fan, Ruth also enjoyed reading, listening to hymns, playing Scrabble, Bingo and completing word searches.  She especially loved being with her family. Anyone who knew Ruth loved her.  She will be missed dearly.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday, March 12th, at 10:30 at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 West County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA  19006.  A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00.
