Obituary of Steven Ciarciello

Steven Michael Ciarciello, 49, beloved husband of Margaret (nee Becker) and father of Sarah Irene, Rachel Elizabeth and Theodore Michael, passed from our lives on October 22, 2010. Steven was preceded in death by his father, John Ciarciello, and is survived by his mother Joan (nee Ostroff). Steven also left behind 4 siblings, Richard, Christina (Tom), Joseph (Bernadette), Robert (Silvana), 41 nieces and nephews, and hundreds of people whose lives he touched on an almost daily basis in his work and personal life. Like everything he did, Steven gave his all, including a heroic 7-year battle against cancer, during which time he became a board member of the Advisory Board for The Joan Karnell Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital. In addition to his family and friends, Steven's love was his career. He worked at CompuData Corporation from the age of 15, where he started as a computer operator, saying "the lawn mower thing didn't appeal to me." Steven rose to the role of President & CEO, a position he held since 1993, and helped grow the fledgling company from 5 employees into a nationally recognized and award winning computer services firm.

Relatives and Friends are invited to gather Tuesday, October 26, 9AM - 12, at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville PA 19053. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made in the name of Steven M. Ciarciello to the Peter Skelton Sarcoma Research Foundation, at 200 Leonard Avenue, Clarksboro, New Jersey 08020 (checks payable to PSSRF).
