IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steven R.
Gordon
November 26, 1946 – April 1, 2022
Steven Raymond Gordon , a longtime resident of Southampton PA, died unexpectedly on Friday morning April 1, 2022, at the age of 75 at home. Steven was the son of the late John and Esther Gordon and the brother of the late Jay Gordon. He is survived by his son James and wife Christina Gordon, daughter Diana O Brien and his 5 grandchildren: Casey and Cayla Gordon, Christopher and Justin Olley and Shane 0'Brien. He will be missed by his Aunt, Geraldine (Jones) Horn and many cousins; Mildred( Butchin) Parker, Karen (Horn) Bonitatibus, Henry J Horn III, Bethann (Horn) Wittig, Valerie (Walynetz) Peluso, Wayne Walynetz, Mark Walynetz, Peter Walynetz, Denise (Ward) Daly and Donna (Ward) Boyle, and many 2nd cousins.
He served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972 as a cook, aboard the nuclear submarine The USS Thomas A. Edison, SSBN 610. He acquired many friends that he stayed connected with.
Steven officially retired on November 13, 2015. He enjoyed playing golf where he met and maintained many lifelong friends. He would often tell stories about his golf outings on the days when the weather wasn't the greatest, he would head over to Top Golf and drag the day out doing what he loved to do.
He was also a huge fan of photography. He traveled to many places and took the most beautiful and amazing pictures. He loved the beauty of nature and would always be caught with a camera and taking pictures on his phone. He loved to make his yearly calendars and brag about the places he had been.
He also loved to build his model trains. He would often set them up on the dining room table where he would love to show his granddaughters the latest and greatest.
He had another love in his life, his corvette, that he was very proud of. He loved dressing up the car for the annual 4th of July day parade where he could showcase his pride and joy with his late girlfriend Jeanne Edwards who passed in April of 2021. He was a proud supporter of the Upper Southampton police and fire department. He did not have any pets of his own ,his love for horses was very well known. He would enjoy horseback riding on occasion and just endure the pure beauty of such an amazing animal.
He was quite the writer. He enjoyed writing so much that he began to write his own novel. He would randomly write down any song lyrics or movie quotes that stuck in his mind. He would always have music on in the background and just enjoyed having a good time. He was a man of many talents and many hobbies. He always had a smile on his face and loved meeting new people. He made many friends over the years and enjoyed spending any time that he could with his family.
Steven will be truly missed by so many people. He is now at peace with the many angels that look over us today. Rest in peace until we meet again.
