Theodore J. Schmidt Jr (Ted), passed away into peace after a lengthy illness surrounded by his family on May 25, 2022 age 79. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Joan Schmidt (Nee Beck), his loving children: Theodore J. Schmidt III (Stacey), Jennifer Trepper, grandchildren: Theodore J. Schmidt IV (TJ), Ashley N. Schmidt, Jillian Trepper and Brynn Trepper. He is also survived by his brothers: Michael Schmidt and Peter Schmidt (Lisa), many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Ted retired after 35 years of service in telecommunications (Bell-Atlantic/Verizon). He was a proud veteran and also retired from the Navy Reserves after 34 years. In his leisure time, he loved to travel and spend time at his Cape May summer home with his wife, Joan.  Ted loved classic cars, especially his Corvette, fishing on the weekends, watching Phillies games, and gardening. Ted was known as the life of any party: charismatic, fun loving, able to make people laugh.  Ted had a heart of gold and was always willing to help out a friend.  Ted's greatest joy was his family. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly, as well as his two dog companions, Heidi and Spike. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Friends and family are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday June 24, 2022, 11:00am-12:00pm at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home, 333 W. County Line Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A Prayer Service will commence at 12:00pm. Inurnment directly to follow in Washington Crossing Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
