Thomas Charles Stevens (his Buddhist name, Reverend Teigan) in his 87th year, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2020. He was the second son of John and Mary (nee Stover) Stevens. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Chomitz, and nephews John and Nicholas and nieces Jill and Jennifer Stevens.  After spending many years in social work, Tom became a Buddhist monk in the Zen tradition and devoted his life to the practice of meditation and service to others. His older brother, John, preceded him in death. For decades Tom lived and practiced in monasteries and abbeys in California and Washington. More recently, he resided at Rydal Park in Jenkintown, PA to be near his sister Mary Ellen Chomitz. Services for Thomas will be private.
