Obituary

Walter, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 22 at the age of 76. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and community service that touched the lives of many.

Born June 5, 1948, Walter was a hardworking and passionate man who dedicated his life to both his family and his community. He had a diverse and distinguished career, serving as a Shop n' Bag manager, the proprietor of Afton Deli in Yardley, and the president of the Northampton Lions Club. A lifelong member of the VE Club, he was also a well-known voice on the airwaves as a radio host for WRDV in Hatboro.

Family was everything to Walter. He is survived by his loving wife, Caron; his sons, Steven Bitterlich and Michael Bitterlich (wife Shannon); his daughters, Brenda (husband Richard) and Tanya (husband Chasz); and his five cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Michael Justin, Nathan, Victoria, and Peyton. His love extended even to his "grand-doggies."

An avid bowler and a lover of music, radio communications, and movies, he had a knack for finding joy in life's simple pleasures. He was deeply devoted to his children and took an active interest in his grandchildren's passions—whether it was train watching, attending Wings games, or cheering on baseball, softball, and soccer matches. He loved trips "down the shore" to Sea Isle City, or to Marco Island, always accompanied by his Long Island iced tea.

Walter's kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. His love will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

"This is the Daddy-O on the radio, signing off."

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Walter's visitation from 11 AM until noon at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel to share fond memories.

Walter will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park following services.
