William F. "Bill" Wood, 74, of Warminster, PA passed away on December 29, 2019. He was the beloved
husband of Hazel (Bryant) Wood. Along with his wife, Bill is survived by his daughters Terica Smiley and
husband John Smiley; daughter Michelle Caimi; son William Wood and wife Stacey Wood; and daughter
Jeannette Wood; brother Robert Wood and wife Ilse Wood; sister Ann Hughlett and husband Charles
Hughlett; 7 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers- and sisters-in-
law.
Bill started in the IBEW union in 1968, before retiring in early 2000s. He was a member of the Northeast
Social Club. He worked for several companies and was a very strong union man. He proudly worked on
projects throughout the city and suburbs, including Suburban Station, Rohm and Haas, and Abington
Memorial Hospital.
He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, spending time in upstate
Pennsylvania with family in Liberty and his home in Dushore. Bill was a man of many skills who could fix
anything and was better at technology than some of his kids. He was a life long fan of Nascar and
enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles.
Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home after hospital and hospice care after a
valiant fight with heart disease.
Cremation will be private. Friends and family are invited to Willow Inn 210 N. York Rd, Willow Grove PA
for a funeral/memorial luncheon, Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 1pm.
